Welcome to Tri-Cities Pacific Little League (Cupertino, CA).

Note that we are transitioning to a new web site. Although the current web site will remain open in the interim, we have already transitioned on-line registration to the new site (http://www.eteamz.com/tricitieslittleleague1/).

Registration for Spring 2012 Little League Seniors (ages 15-16) Baseball

We are taking registration for the Little League Seniors division, whose season runs from mid/late May (after High School season) to end of June/early July. The registration process is summarized as follows:

1. Register your child, in one of the following ways

On-line. Go to http://www.eteamz.com/tricitieslittleleague1/ and follow the "Register Now" button to register your child/children on-line - it's fast and easy.
In-person. Complete and sign the manual registration form, and contact info@tricitiesbaseball.org to make arrangements to provide the registration form.

2. Pay fees, in one of the following ways:

On-line via credit card, using the Active Network as a continuation of the online registration above.
Mail-in. Mail to Tri-Cities Little League, PO Box 146, Cupertino, CA 95015.
In-person. Contact info@tricitiesbaseball.org to make arrangements.

3. Finalize registration. Contact info@tricitiesbaseball.org to make arrangements. Finalizing registration includes the following:

Show proof-of-age (birth certificate)
Show proof-of-residence (3 forms, acceptable forms)
Sign the registration/release form

Picture_Day_2012

Dear Tri-Cities Parent.

Tri-Cities Picture Day will be Saturday, April 28th. Team pictures, as well as individual pictures, will be taken on this day. Tri-Cities will pay for a Memory Mate for each player. Any additional requests will need to be filled out on your envelope form and paid for at the photo shoot. Even if you want only the Memory Mate, you must still bring an envelope, filled out, to the field on Photo Day. [A Memory Mate is a single photo that includes an individual picture, team photo, and TCLL logo.] Also, each team should bring at least one bat for the individual pictures.

Where: Wilson Park, in the area behind the outfield fence of the Minors field.
When: April 28th. See below for scheduled times, by teams. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time.

The season has started, but we do have limited space on our teams if you are still interested to register. Please contact info@tricitiesbaseball.org to check for team availability.

The registration process is summarized as follows:

Dear Tri-Cities Parent,

As mentioned on Opening Day, Cupertino High School Baseball will have a "Picnic in the Park" event this Saturday, April 7th, 9am - 3pm, at the Cupertino High School baseball facility. It is a full day of fun and activities, including:

10:00am Home Run Hitting contest
12:00pm Hot Dog Eating contest
Fun & games all day, with prizes and raffle
Great food - BBQ chicken, pulled pork, hamburgers and cheeseburgers

Tri-Cities Parents,

April 29th (Sunday) is Little League Day for the Giants game at AT&T Park against the San Diego Padres. We have reserved a group of tickets for Tri-Cities. These will be $21 per ticket. Seat location is upper level.

Full schedule of events:

* Pre-game Q&A with Giants Players and Coaches
* A Limited Edition Giveaway Item special just for the Little Leaguers
* League Banner Parade on the Field!
* Ticket to that afternoon's game (1:10pm start)
* Kids get to run the bases after the game

This should be a great day of fun for the kids (and familes)! Please complete the Survey Form or respond to info@tricitiesbaseball.org with the following information:

Tri-Cities Community,

Thank you very much for all your help with Field Maintenance Day. There were a lot of parents and kids helping this year, and the fields look great. Also special thanks to Todd McNair, Tri-Cities Field Maintenance Director, for overseeing the day, and to Joe Mardesich (previous Tri-Cities Field Maintenance Director) for coming back to help out.

Saturday, March 10th is Opening Day. We'll have our ceremony, raffle, snack shack breakfast and lunch, and a full day of baseball games - great fun to kick-off the season.

We will be raffling prizes including the new Sony PSP player. Tickets can be purchased on Opening Day. Tickets are $1 each. Buy 5 tickets, get 1 free! Buy 10 tickets, get 5 free!!

This is one of our busiest days of the year for the Snack Shack. If you indicated Snack Shack or Opening Day volunteer in your registration, please sign-up for a specific time in the online scheduling spreadsheet (Opening Day Snack Shack Sign-up Sheet). Remember that completing one shift fulfills your league-level volunteer requirement. Of course, you can also sign-up for a shift even if you did not indicate Snack Shack or Opening Day volunteer in your registration.

Please have your child at the field in full uniform, by 9:15am. Following is the complete schedule for Opening Day (for game specifics, please refer to the schedule communicated from your team's manager):

9:15am Players arrive in uniform and line-up on the soccer field
9:30am Players parade onto the field, followed by opening remarks
10:15am Approximate end for Opening ceremonies

Tri-Cities Parents,

We are in the midst of forming teams, and we look forward to the beginning of the season. A few items:

Practices Starting

Tomorrrow (Saturday, February 11th) we will have clinic-style practices at Wilson Park for those who are available, as follows:
- 9:30am - 11am => TBall and Farm-A
- 11am - 1pm => Farm-AA and Minors
- Note that since these are clinic-style practices, team placement (see below) is not required.
- If you have any question on which session to attend (e.g., Farm-A versus Farm-AA), please go by the guidance provided during registration
Additional practice schedule for Minors, Farm-AA, Farm-A and TBall will be provided in future communications
Majors - will be contacted separately by team manager
Juniors - have been contacted by team manager

Team Placement

We will have make-up tryouts this Saturday, February 4th for our Majors, Minors and Farm-AA divisions, with the following schedule (see the end of this email for guidance on which tryout to attend):

Saturday, February 4th, Wilson Park, Make-up Tryouts and In-Person Registration

10:00am. Farm-AA. Arrive by 9:30am to check-in and complete registration if needed
11:00am. Minors and Majors. Arrive by 10:30am to check-in/complete registration
9:30am - 11:30am. Walk-in registration, finalize registration

If you have not registered yet, there is still time! Visit http://www.TriCitiesBaseball.org/ for instructions to initiate your registration on-line. We very much encourage for you to initiate registration on-line, however you can also register in-person ( 2012 Registration Form ) this Saturday from 9:30am - 11:30am at Wilson Park. Similarly, if you need to finalize your child's registration (signing registration form; payment of fees; proof of age - birth certificate; and proof of address - 3 forms, acceptable forms), you can do so this Saturday from 9:30am - 11:30am.

Player Referral Incentive!

We would also like to encourage you and your kids to tell your friends to sign-up! As an incentive, for every new player that your child refers that registers they will receive a $10 snack shack voucher and the opportunity to win a Wii Gaming System. Just email to info@tricitiesbaseball.org your child's name and the name of the new player you referred. We will then provide the voucher to you, as well as enter your child in the drawing for the Wii.

Guidance for Tryouts

Following is guidance for which session your child should attend:

Majors
- Returning Majors players
- All 12 year-olds, plus 11 year-olds who played Minors last year
Minors
- 11 year-olds who have not played before
- 10 year-olds and 9 year-olds who played Minors or Farm-AA last year
- 8 year-olds who played Farm-AA last year who would like to try out for Minors
Farm-AA
- All kids who played Farm-A last year and who would like to try out for Farm-AA
- 10 year-olds and 9 year-olds who have not played before
- 8 year-olds who played Farm-AA last year and would like to stay in Farm-AA
- 8 year-olds and 7 year-olds who did not play last year but would like to try out for Farm-AA

Again, this is guidance so that we can divide up the kids across the sessions. Trying out for a level does not necessarily mean that your child will be selected for a team at that level. Thank you, if you have already registered for the Tri-Cities 2012 spring season. If you have not yet registered, you can do so at one of our upcoming tryout days.

As mentioned in previous mailers, we will have tryouts for team placement this Saturday, January 21^st at Wilson Park, per the following schedule:

11:00am. Farm-AA. Arrive by 10:30am to check-in, 10:00am if you need to complete registration
12:00pm. Minors. Arrive by 11:30am to check-in, 11:00am if you need to complete registration
2:00pm. Majors. Arrive by 1:30pm to check-in, 1:00pm if you need to complete registration

On Saturday, January 28th, we will have optional assessment for TBall/Farm-A, as well as a make-up session for Farm-AA, Minors and Majors:

10:00am. Optional TBall/Farm-A assessment. Arrive by 9:30am to check-in and complete registration if needed. There are no tryouts for TBall (ages 4-6) or Farm-A (ages 6-8) levels. However, we will have an optional assessment session, in particular for 6 year-olds who would like to consider playing Farm-A

This is a reminder that registration for the Tri-Cities Little League (TCLL) baseball 2012 spring season is well underway.

If you have not yet registered, we encourage you to register soon, as there is a $20 discount if you register by January 7th, 2012. Early registration also helps us to better plan for teams, coaches, clinics, etc.

Visit http://www.TriCitiesBaseball.org/ to initiate your registration on-line (you can also pay registration fees online if desired). It’s fast and easy! For those of you who prefer to mail in the application, you can complete the 2012 Registration Form and mail it to Tri-Cities Little League, PO Box 146, Cupertino, CA 95015-0146. A final option is in-person registration at one of our walk-in registration days:

January 4th (Wednesday), 7pm - 8pm, Armadillo Willy's
January 7th (Saturday), 11am - 1pm at Wilson Park

If you have already finalized your registration at one of our previous walk-in days, thank you very much and we look forward to seeing you at the ballpark !

Tryouts (for team placement) for Farm-AA, Minors and Majors are planned for Saturday, January 21st, 11am at Wilson Park, with a make-up day of Tuesday, January 24th, 4:30pm at Wilson Park. Additional detail on tryouts will be provided in a subsequent email.

Games will start in mid-March and the regular season runs through the second week of June. For tournament and all-star teams, games may continue through the beginning of July depending on how far the teams advance.

Finally, we very much encourage you and your kid(s) to tell your friends about Tri-Cities and have them register. For every new player that is referred, your child will receive a $10 snack shack voucher, as well as entry in a drawing to win a Wii Gaming system. Just have the new player identify your child in their registration.

Dear Tri-Cities Parent,

As the year comes to a close, some of you may be considering making donations to your charities. In that worthy endeavor, we hope you can consider making a donation to the Tri-Cities Pacific Little League. We are a non profit 501(c)(3) organization (Tax ID: 94-1692157) run by volunteers to promote baseball and build a stronger local community.

All donations are tax deductible and no donation is too big or too small. The generous gift will go towards our efforts to maintaining our fields, replacing old equipment, sponsoring scholarships to those in need, and supporting our local community.

Many employers may have a matching gift program so please ask your employer if they can participate as well. If they do not have a program, but interested in making a contribution, they can be one of our sponsors.
