Dear TCLL Board Members,

Here's what's going on:

1. Registration is open.  We decided to keep the same fees as last year, and hope to increase our enrollment by just a few kids to hit 200 this year.

2. Board meetings all scheduled.  Please add these dates to your calendar:

    December 13
    January 10
    February 7
    March 27
    April 24
    May 15
    June 5 (tentative)

3. Action items.  At the beginning of each board meeting, we will review the action items from the previous one.  Please take a look at the Action Items web page ( http://www.tricitiesbaseball.org/Action+Items) to see if you're on the hook for anything.

4. Draft Calendar.  I've begun to draft the calendar for next year.  It's a work in progress, but I'd love to have feedback early (NOW), especially about conflicts you notice.  The draft calendar is at: http://www.tricitiesbaseball.org/Calendar-08

5. New Bank.  Our transition from Citibank to Bank of America is complete.  The Citibank accounts have been closed, and all of the monies deposited into the main BofA checking account (which now has about $19K in it - Barun will give us the exact figures soon).  We did get almost $4000 in late Snack Shack deposits from Julie, so we're in pretty good financial shape.

6. Positive Coaching Alliance.  As we discussed at the last meeting, we're going with PCA for one aspect coaches training.  Because we're small, they're giving us their package at half price.  The package includes three training sessions, which we will offer early next year.  The first will be for board members, the second for managers and coaches, and the third for coaches who couldn't make the second one (maybe because they weren't selected yet).  I hope everyone who has contact with kids in our league will make it to at least one of them so that we're all on the same page about philosophy.  We will still participate in Al&Al training, and I hope we will also offer one more advanced training session for coaches as well.
